Hildegard Mary Williams, 93, a soul loved by all, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Arlington surrounded by her family.
Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, at St. Alban's Anglican Parish, 911 South Davis Dr., Arlington. Interment: 2:15 p.m., Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, 75211.
Hilde was born in Albany, NY, in 1925. After high school she found her way to the Big Apple and worked at Trans World Airlines in New York City. She met the love of her life, Parks, over the water cooler and they were married Oct. 10, 1953. The airline industry transferred them to Dallas-Fort Worth in 1959 with their two young sons and they took roots in Arlington where they raised their two sons as Texans. Hilde loved being involved in her sons' schools and youth group activities. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, Hilde was very involved with her career with UTA Student Life for over 20 years developing life-long friendships along the way. In retirement she spent many hours volunteering with Arlington Visitor Information Center and St. Alban's Church while enjoying her time with fellow knitters in her craft circles. She loved her friends and stayed in regular contact with them through her lunch meeting dates.
Hilde will be so missed by her family and friends but her legacy and her compassion for others will forever live on. It was all about family for Hilde. If family was together, she was in her glory.
