Hildegard Koons

Hildegard Koons of Mansfield, Texas passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022, at the age of 97. Hilde was born in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany to Bergmann Mathias and Agnes Hostar Dahm on June 2nd of 1924.
At a young age Hilde joined the German Air Force during WWII. She later married John Koons on December 4, 1954. They were happily married for 67 years.
Hilde was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
She is survived by her husband, John Koons of Mansfield, Texas, son Brian Koons and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter Linda Whitener and husband Mike of Midlothian, Texas, three grandchildren Sheree Koons, Ashley Whitener, and Jason Whitener and wife Caitlyn, additional grandson Rory Golden and wife Emilie and their children Kade and Emma, brother Karl Heinz Dahm of Kassel, Germany, and sister Elenore Neese of Palm Bay, Florida and several generations of nieces and nephews.
