Henry Garcia

Henry Garcia was born in Waxahachie, TX on October 22,1956 to Estella Moya Garcia and Fulgencio Garcia. He was an active member in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church from a young age and through out his entire life. For many years he enjoyed both directing and teaching as a Pathfinder Master Guide. He also enjoyed singing and listening to music such as Elvis, Jimmy Swagger, the Gaithers and many other Christian groups. In 1976 Henry met his wife of 44 years in Houston, TX. While singing with the Shalom group and presenting a program in Houston, the group members were invited to join the church youth to a planned night out to a local carnival in town. Before the end of the night Henry finally asked Miriam for her telephone number. There were many, many long distant telephone calls between them and trips from Ferris, Tx his hometown to Houston. Henry proposed to Miriam while attending a Spanish Camp meeting in Athens, Tx, of course he was very excited that Miriam had accepted. They were married on July 10, 1977 in Houston. The couple welcomed their first child Henry A. Garcia on May 17, 1979, but sadly only survived a few hours due to a heart defect. They were later blessed with three additional children, their son Arthur Garcia and two daughters Ybeth Garcia and Briana Garcia. He dedicated his life to providing for his family with much love and hard work. Always seeking to improve his job skills and talents was a priority to him. He achieved his goal of starting his own business in 1985 naming his business “Henrys K Tops". As a perfectionist he always took great pride in every project both small and large. His quality of work helped him to continue building his business through out his remaining life. Henry's love for God provided the strength and courage needed to develop his unshakeable faith. It was this faith that was used to get him through every trial and difficult time in his life until he took his last breath on August 23, 2021. Henry was preceded in death by, his son Henry A Garcia, his father Fulgencio Garcia and grandparents Clotilde and Patricio Moya. He is survived by his wife Miriam Garcia, son Arthur Garcia and daughters Ybeth Garcia and Briana Garcia, six grandchildren Clay, Alyssa, Lysette, Autumn, Abigel and Zaydi, mother Estella Chavez, sisters Sylvia Saldana, Mary Garcia, Ofelia Mendoza, Aurelia Garcia, Maria Cienfuegos, brothers David Moya, Agapito Garcia, Rene Garcia.
