ARLINGTON -- Henrietta I. East, 93, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, in Arlington.
Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, 5011 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington 76016, with Dr. Will Cotton officiating.
Henrietta was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Daleview, Mont., to Earl and Vera Briggs. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Superior Technical Institute. Henrietta worked as bookkeeper for East End Clinic. She was a former member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior, Wis. She was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and a member of the Superior Skating Club and Curling Club.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Backstrom; daughter, Judith; son, Bobby; daughter, Claudia; second husband, Richard East; sisters, Dorothy and Edith; and brothers, Earl and Llewelyn.
Survivors: Daughter, Carol Hey and husband, Ron, of Arlington; granddaughter, Ronda Standard and husband, Mark, of Arlington; grandsons, Todd Hey and wife, Lacey, of Fort Worth and Scott Hey and fiancee, Laura, of Florida; and great-grandchildren, Claudia, Tate and Levi Standard, and Ryder, Kennedy and Hudson Hey.
