Helen Fong

Helen Ngan Heung Fong, born July 3, 1939 and entered heaven on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Visitation: 12 noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Wade Funeral Home. Helen was a beloved sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Helen was born in China and came to Canada and later the United States. She worked in Sacramento, CA before moving to Texas. She was a co-owner of Golden China Restaurant in 1973. She and George Fong, her husband, owned Nanking Restaurant from 1974 to 1997. Helen enjoyed family time with her nephews and nieces and friendship with many dear friends in Decatur, IL. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Yue Wing Ma and Hun Ying Lee; husband, George Fong; brother, Albert Yee; sister, Ngan Yue Ma; brother, Raymond Wou. Survivors: sister-in-law, Sue Caldwell Wou; niece and husband, So Ha and Bruce Lai; nephews, Dean Wou and Michael Wou; grand-nephews, Eric Lai and Kyle Wou; grand-niece, Andrea Lai; great-grand-nephew, Wesley Wou.
