ARLINGTON -- Helen Duffey Hawrylak, 81, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Arlington, the Rev. Father Michael Ciski, T.O.R., officiating. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with a 7 p.m. prayer vigil in Wade Family Chapel.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Catholic Charities of Fort Worth or Mission Arlington.
Helen was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Gainesville, to John and Hazel Duffey. She was raised in Fort Worth. On May 5, 1956, she married her sweetheart, Robert Lee Hawrylak, and had been an Arlington resident since 1967 and a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Helen was a medical technologist specializing in hematology. She was a member of the PTA and Texas A&M Mothers Club. She also enjoyed her association with the Altar Guild and Leisure Club of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Helen loved to travel and did so as often as she could.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert, on March 18, 2004.
Survivors: Sons, Steve M. Hawrylak and wife, Liza, R. Alan Hawrylak and wife, Kay, John M. Hawrylak and wife, Sondra, Paul G. Hawrylak and wife, Judy; daughter-in-law, Amy Dziak; and grandchildren, Kamryn, Andy, Samuel, Jane, Kathryn, Bill, Erin, Brandi, Jennifer and Adam.
