Harry Patrick Ryan

ARLINGTON -- Harry Patrick Ryan Jr., 70, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, in Arlington. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington, with the Rev. Thomas Craig as celebrant. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with a vigil at 7. Harry was born Sept. 12, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn., to Harry Ryan Sr. and Mary Adele Whitaker Ryan. He graduated from St. Thomas Academy and attended St. Thomas College and the University of Texas at Arlington. He and his family owned a milk processing plant in St. Paul, Minn., for many years. Harry later moved to the Metroplex when he went to work with Schepps Dairy of Dallas. After 30 years of service he retired as plant superintendent in 2008. He enjoyed golf and motorcycles. Survivors: Beloved wife of 17 years, Joan Ryan; son, Matthew Ryan and wife, Amy, of Fort Worth; daughters, Robyn Gore and husband, Doug of Clemmons, N.C., and Kristine Jackson and husband, Paul, of Colleyville; brothers, Denis Ryan and Tony Ryan; sisters, Mary Hafner, Melissa Ryan and Kelly Klatt; and five grandchildren.
