Harry Francis Widing

Dr. Harry F. Widing, 75, passed away on March 14, 2024, in Mansfield,Texas with his wife and sister by his side.

Harry Widing was born on July 13, 1948 in Ft.Monmouth, NJ to Harry E. Widing and Maxine E. Widing.

Harry had a passion for knowledge. After graduating from Eastwood High School El Paso in 1966, he earned a MS in Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso in 1971, Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1977 with an Internship and Residency at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. A talented physician specializing in Internal Medicine with a practice in Dallas, he completed a MBA of Health Management at the University of Dallas in 1993.

Known for his wit and obsession with puns, Harry touched many lives with his love of books, music, cinema, humor, poker, and Excel. He was devoted to the rescue of animals in need.

Harry is survived by his wife Pamela Coffey-Widing, daughter Traci Melson, devoted stepchildren Jonathan and Kelly Coffey, sister Lora Bird and seven grandchildren.

The visitation for Dr.Harry Widing will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, 2 pm to 6 pm at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington.

Memorial donations can be made in Harry’s name to Operation Kindness Texas Lifesaving Animal Shelter.
