Harold Aron Matrick

Harold Aron Matrick, 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Arlington, TX, surrounded by his loving family.
A Memorial Service for Harold will be held on October 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Wade Family Funeral Home, in Belle Hall.
Harold was born November 3, 1931 in Memphis, TN to Bernard and Vera Matrick.
After graduating from Flora High in 1950, Harold attended Mississippi College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1953. Upon graduation, he married his high school sweetheart and had two beautiful daughters, Melanie and Suzanne.
Harold then enlisted in the Army and was sent to Ft. Benning, GA, where he became a Military Policeman. He served in Chicago and Germany and returned to the United States, where he was honorably discharged. Harold became an insurance underwriter at CNA insurance, where he met his second wife, the love of his life, Dee Matrick. He came to love Dee’s daughter, Judy, as his own. Together they shared four children, Melanie, Suzanne, Judy, and B.J.
Harold loved and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and his truest love, the Ole Miss Rebels. He coached Little League baseball, taught Sunday School, and had an extremely soft spot for his hometown, Flora, MS, still subscribing to the Flora paper and keeping in touch with his high school friends. To this day he has a painting of downtown Flora on his living room wall. He loved to read and his most favorite subjects were history and the Bible, which he read in its entirety for over ten years.
Harold was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, with the strength of Sampson, the patience of Job, and the love of Jesus in his heart.
