ARLINGTON -- Harlan Pat Vaught went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, with his family by his side.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pat was born in Olney on Dec. 26, 1924, to Harlon and Thelma Vaught Sr. He served in the Navy, fighting in the Pacific from 1942 up to Japan's surrender in 1945. Pat graduated from Texas A&M and retired from LTV in 1983. He was a devoted husband and family man and was married to his wife, June Ruth Odom Vaught, for 64 years.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents Harlon and Thelma Vaught Sr.
Survivors: His wife, June; sister, June Hammond; sons, John and wife, Jennifer Vaught, and Jack and wife, Rene Vaught; grandchildren, Rachel Vaught Kilgore, James and wife, Melissa Vaught, Julie and husband, Chris Shannon, and Brian Vaught; great-grandchildren, Ty, Jackson, Ella and Stone; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
