ARLINGTON -- Guinevere Glick Neal, 96, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Interment: Rosehill Cemetery, Brookfield, Mo.
Gwen was born June 18, 1920, in Ipswich, Mass., to Raymond Norris Miller and Olive Grace Glick Miller. She grew up in Emporia, Kan., and graduated in 1941 from the Emporia State Teachers College. Her first job was teaching kindergarten in Marysville, Kan. In 1941, after a short courtship, she married the love of her life, Donald Warren Neal. From 1941 to 1999 her "vocation" was being a minister's wife and mother to her daughters.
Gwen was a selfless, loving, compassionate lady. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was an "angel" on earth.
Our family wants to thank the compassionate staff at Brookdale Pecan Park and Envoy Hospice. They always treated mother with love and respect. Mother's life ended with dignity.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Warren Neal.
