Gracia Marie Carlson

GRACIA MARIE CARLSON, 62, succumbed to a brain tumor at Community Hospice of Fort Worth. Born 16 February 1956, this Washington County (KS) native was a proud Linn HS and University of Kansas grad with a Masters from The University of North Texas. She is remembered for her smarts and humor by those she leaves behind: husband Stephen Lawson, children David & Katherine, sister Lora, and mother Margaret in addition to flocks of family, friends, musicians, students and colleagues with whom she taught, learned, and laughed. Funeral to be held April 7th at 2 PM at Advent Lutheran Church. Dress: street legal. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arlington High jazz program, with checks made out to "Arlington High School” and Gracia's name in the memo.
