Gloria Ann Smith Williams, 89, passed away on April 7, 2022 in Arlington.
Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gloria was born on December 19, 1932 in El Cajon, California to John Wesley Eaton and Katherine Wiley Eaton. She lived in El Cajon and Coronado, California for many years and was a member of Coronado Baptist Church. She worked as a photo color corrector. An Arlington resident for the past 10 years, she became a member of Fielder Church. Gloria was a woman of great faith and peace.
She enjoyed playing board games, gardening and taking care of her roses. She dearly loved her family, grandchildren and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Lawrence Doyle Smith on New Year’s Day in 2000; sons, Randal Thomas Smith and Donald Eric Smith; and grandchildren, Timothy and Jarek.
Survivors: Husband of 10 years, John E. Williams; children, Lawrence Wesley Smith and wife, Jane, Timothy Alan Smith and wife, Leah, Jonathan Curtis Smith and wife, Lourdes, Linda Williams Jaquess and husband, Tim and Ron Williams and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Kimberly, Daniel, Luke, Jack, Brittany, Hannah, Isaiah, Austin, Trevor, Michelle, Daryl, Peyton and Jamie; and numerous extended grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, James, Kari, Jackson, Kinsey, Andrew, Rion and Grace; and her pets, Angel and Taz.
