Glenda Diane Roland

Glenda Diane Roland, 65, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on July 6, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on July 24, 2021, at Gospel City Church with Pastor Rick Dubose, officiating. Arrangements are by Wade Family Funeral Home. Glenda was born in McKinney, Texas to Lora and William Oliver on February 27, 1956. She filled many different roles throughout her career culminating as an administrative assistant before retiring. For many years, she served on the worship team at Sachse Assembly of God, now North Place Church. She absolutely loved to sing and worship Jesus! Glenda was also a very proud grandmother and recent great-grandmother. She loved her family very much. They were her pride and joy! Additionally, you would never find Glenda without a dog by her side. She was a dog mom to Hannah, and later Dakota. Glenda is preceded in death by Lora Mae Ford-Oliver (mother), William Everett Oliver (father), Mary Ann Oliver-Dean (sister), and William Eugene Oliver (brother). Glenda is survived by Joanna and Chris Butcher (daughter and son-in-law), Beverly Oliver Massegee (sister), Sterling Lynn & Stephen James Butcher (grandsons), and Nolan Drew Butcher (great-grandson). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family of Glenda Roland wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Pastor Rick and Rita DuBose, Pastor Mark Mangrem & Gospel City Church in Pantego, Texas, our church family, and the many people who reached out and supported us during this difficult time.
