GRAND PRAIRIE -- Gladys Whitney Hice, born June 3rd, 1933, in Ashville, NC, was called home to be with the Lord on February 26th, 2016 in Grand Prairie. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Her adult and career life were spent in the Washington, D.C. area where she raised her family after traveling the world with husband, Larry Charles Hice. She was at peace in her final days, enjoying time with family. She will now reunite with loving husband for their next journey. Survivors: Her loving family to wish her farewell are daughter Nannette Jones, son-in-law Jeffrey Jones, son Jason D. Hice, daughter-in-law Josie, granddaughter Sophia April Hice, sister Gwen Darvin, nephew David Darvin, niece Karen Darvin, brother Edward Dalton Jr and wife Sharon and all of the extended family that loved and admired her.
