GRANBURY -- Gladine Vititow Sickles Childress, 93, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, in Granbury.
Memorial service: We will celebrate her generous, full and joyous life at 1 p.m. Thursday, First Christian Church, 910 S. Collins St., Arlington, with Dr. Andy Mangum officiating. Interment: later in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.

Gladine was born June 1, 1920, in Sulphur Springs to Charles A. Vititow and Lela Anna Randolph Vititow. A resident of Granbury since 2007 and formerly of Arlington, Gladine retired as business owner of Susannah's Children's Shoppe and also Chipper's Corner.
In Arlington, she was a faithful member of First Christian Church, an active member of the Women's Club and volunteer/board member for S.O.S. Auxiliary for the Women's Shelter for several years. She enjoyed bridge, antiquing and needlework. She dearly loved spending time with and loving her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, H.B. Sickles (1964) and Jack E. Childress (2000); and four siblings.
Survivors: Daughter, Anna Parrish and husband, Charles, of Granbury; grandchildren, Susannah Parrish of Franklin, Tenn., and Chip Parrish and wife, Heather, of Denver, Colo.; great-grandson, Charlie; brothers, Myrt Vititow and Bob Vititow; sister, Kelly Smircich; sister-in-law, Betty Sickles; aunt, Betty Randolph Herin; and a host of family and friends.
