It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Geri Lynette Hairrell, who left this world on February 11, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 16, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, Lynette lived a life filled with warmth, love, and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Lynette was the beloved wife of Roger Hairrell for 30 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, happiness, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by family and friends. Her radiant spirit, infectious laughter, and devotion to those she loved were the hallmarks of her beautiful soul.
Lynette is survived by her loving husband, Roger Hairrell; her children, James Ford, Alysha Ford, Logan Bowen, Jeremy Hairrell, and Audrey Hairrell; her parents, Bob and Geraldine Ashcraft; her adored grandchildren, Hazel Ford, Georgia Ford, Jackson Ford, and Lara Wallace; and her brothers, Rob and Mike Ashcraft. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
Lynette found joy in life's simple pleasures-gardening, raising her nine chickens, travelling, hiking, snorkeling, camping, skiing, and antique shopping. She embraced natural living, homeopathy, buying too much stuff at estate sales, always seeing beauty and purpose in the world around her. She especially loved the flowers and plants passed down through generations, ensuring her legacy would continue to bloom.
Her love for her family knew no bounds. As a mother, she devoted herself fully, raising five children with endless love and wisdom. As a grandmother, she traveled across the country to be present for the births of her grandchildren, sharing in their milestones and nurturing the next generation with the same warmth and care. She was a gifted cook who lovingly prepared family favorites-blackberry jam, apple butter, banana bread, stew, lasagna, and hot chocolate,-all with special touches learned from her mother.
Lynette dedicated herself not only to her family but also to serving others. She worked as a hairstylist, as a teacher's aide for special-needs children, and seasonally for the Texas Rangers, always giving selflessly to those in need.
She found strength and peace in her spirituality. Not only was she deeply spiritual, she found her own loving relationship with God. Her memory will live on in the traditions she loved-from Thanksgiving at the Deer Woods to Christmas spent at home-and in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lynette's presence was a gift, and though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and kindness will forever remain in the lives of those she touched.
