ARLINGTON -- Gerald Joseph Terranova, 80, passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, in Arlington.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Monday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: 12:30 p.m. Monday in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane C. Visitation: The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday with a rosary beginning at 4 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Expanco in Ft. Worth (http://expanco.com/volunteer.shtml or contact Dena Walts at dena.walts@expanco.com), a charity which serves individuals with disabilities and has greatly benefited his daughter, or toward Student Stipends in the Braniff Graduate School at the University of Dallas (www.udallas.edu).
Gerald was born Jan. 22, 1934, in San Francisco, Calif., to Gerlando Giuseppe Mariano Terranova and Catherine Canciamilla Terranova.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and later in the Texas Air National Guard for 12 years.
Gerald was regional sales manager for Tucker Housewares.
He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, the Cadillac La Salle Club and the Italian Club.
Survivors: His wife, Beverly M. Terranova; daughter, Marie Terranova and friend, Michael Bridges; sons, Gerald J. Terranova Jr. and wife, Susan, Nicholas A. Terranova and wife, Kimberly, and Michael D. Terranova; brother, Joseph Terranova and wife, Carol; sister, Katherine Noether and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah and husband, Jacob, and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Rebekah and Gloria.
