Georgia Isbell Rainwater

Georgia Isbell Rainwater, 95, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Tulsa. Funeral: 12 Noon Thursday, December 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Center Street, Arlington. Graveside: 2:15 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Georgia was born November 8, 1923, in Floydada, TX to Ira Irving Isbell and Bertha Marney Isbell. Georgia attended Polytechnic High School and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. She married Gene at Polytechnic Baptist Church on December 26, 1946, and they shared seventy-one years of marriage. Georgia was a talented painter and musician. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for over fifty years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Arlington. Georgia is survived by her husband, Gene ;sons, David and Paul Rainwater; her granddaughter Celeste Johnson and husband Brett; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
