ARLINGTON -- George Louis Escobar, 54, passed away Friday, Feb 8, 2013, in Arlington. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1500 California Lane, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. George was born June 16, 1958, in Galveston. He was raised in Los Angeles, Calif. He was employed with GM 34 years. George enjoyed running, mountain biking, softball, gardening and loved the outdoors. Survivors: Children, Marilyn and Jackelyn; brothers, Rafael and Richard; mother, Emelia; father, Rafael; grandchildren, Mattilyn Fernandez and Alexander Escobar.
