George “Biddie” Edward Jordan, age 73, of Keller, TX passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 16, at the funeral home.
George was born on December 12, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Thomas Jordan Sr. and Ruth Eugene Adkins. He was known as “Biddie”, the youngest and smallest of 11. He and his siblings relocated to Los Angeles, California where he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army. He was a single father to 4 children: 2 girls and 2 boys.
Biddie was born with a natural gift of leadership, that paved the way for an amazing 32-year career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He joined “BNSF” in Denver in 1976 as a locomotive engineer, retiring as the director of Human Resources in 2008. He was a businessman who loved knowledge, had a passion for teaching, and would thrive for education.
He held a Bachelors of Marketing from Woodbury University, Bachelors of Business Administration from Baker University, Master’s in Business Administration from Letourneau University and had begun his Doctorate in Organizational Behavior. He was awarded the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges in recognition of his outstanding merit and accomplishment as a student.
He was a Cessna single – prop pilot who loved western movies, his ranch, books, politics and sports cars, especially Porsches.
Biddie was a selfless, hardworking man whose smile would permeate a room. He was a man who stood on the foundation of honor, integrity, and respect. A man that paid attention to details, and would continuously seek ways to improve the lives of others. His humor was infectious and the jokes were endless.
Biddie will always be remembered for his life lessons, laced with compassion, and his unwavering love for his children.
Survivors: Sons, Don Edward Jordan and wife, Amy Brown Jordan and River Alexander Jordan; daughters, April Love Jordan-Chigwende and husband, Garik, and Jennifer Ann Jordan-Linnear and husband, Kerry; sisters, Doris Toomer, Connie Jordan, Louise Jordan, and Dorothy Wallace; grandchildren, Janae Jordan Joyner, Gabrielle, Nyle, Nahla Chigwende and Taryn, Tori Jordan and a host of family and friends.
