George Blucher Love

George B. Love, 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. He was born on April 18, 1941 in Beeville, Texas to George B. and Isabel (Bremer) Love. George grew up in South Texas with his parents and three sisters. They lived on a farm, where he milked a cow every day before going to school. After high school graduation, he attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville, Texas and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the School of Engineering. George married Mary Ann Cash in 1968 and together they raised two children, Laurie and Rob. He worked as a Petroleum Engineer for over 40 years. His employment included overseas travel to Mexico, Africa and Venezuela, where he worked on offshore oil rigs. George was a gentle and sensitive man and was very thoughtful and considerate of others. He was devoted to his family and he and Mary Ann loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf and annual trips to Las Vegas with Mary Ann. George is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ann; one daughter, Laurie Harris and husband Kelley, and one son, Rob Love and wife, Jennifer; five grandchildren, Natalie, Jackson and Bennett Harris and Meredith and Lauren Love.
