Geoff was born on July 22nd, 1964 in Dallas, Texas to Larry Gene Carter and Cindy Sue Bowser Carter. He was a gear specialist at Consolidated Electrical Distributors for the last several years.
Geoff’s passion was sharing his story of grace and redemption through Jesus with anyone who would listen. For the past 28 years, he loved and was committed to his Fielder church family and community group. He spent his Saturday mornings alongside many men as they discipled each other in being the spiritual leaders of their families. Geoff was also involved in the ReEngage marriage ministry at Fielder where he helped minister to many couples alongside his wife Dina of 34 years. Together, they shared the faithfulness of God in their lives and God’s vision for marriage.
Geoff loved riding motorcycles and was a part of the Armor of God motorcycle ministry. His road name was “Goofy” reflecting his magnetic and infectious personality. He enjoyed playing softball and pickleball regularly and used these hobbies to further invest in peoples lives. Although Geoff was involved in many ministries, his favorite ministry was his family. He loved them unconditionally and pointed them to Jesus daily. He completely adored his grandchildren, who referred to him as their Poppi. He also loved spending time in Colorado hiking and skiing with his friends and family.
Geoff is survived by his beloved wife, Dina Michele Johnson Carter; sons, Clayton Carter and wife, Libby and Caleb Carter and wife, Morgan; daughter, Katie Elliott and husband, Caleb; brother, Ronny Carter and wife, Pam; sister, Camille Johnson and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Abbi Grace, Ezra and Clare; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
