ARLINGTON -- Garth Ray Smith, 46, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, in Arlington.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E. Mayfield Road, Arlington, with Pastor Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Pallbearers: Don Glover, Richard Temple, Russell Coker, Bruce Bullock, Clint Parker, Shane Landers, Terry Morrow and Eric Moore. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Garth was born March 20, 1967, in Dallas. He was a graduate of Martin High School and UTA. Garth was the owner of Metro Tire and Auto Service in Arlington. He was an avid reader. He loved history, listening to music, playing his guitar, and spending time outdoors.
Most of all, Garth loved spending time with his son, Riley. Garth loved to laugh, joke and share laughter with family and friends. He was committed to his faith in Jesus Christ.
Garth was a true friend and brought a smile to the face of every life he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Garth was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors: Son, Riley Smith; parents, Garland and Rose Smith; sister, Jill Coker and husband, Donnie; nieces, Averie and Landrie Coker; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
