Frederick George Henry "Fred" Hoffman, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Arlington. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Fred's memory. Fred was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1946 to Harold and Margaret Hoffman. He was an athlete and participated in many sports in his life including baseball, football, wrestling, soccer, bowling, golf, hunting and fishing. He grew up in Allen Park, MI with his sister Joanie. He met and married his first wife, Cheri, in Michigan and had 3 children there. He moved to Arlington, Texas in 1978 and has been a proud and loyal Texan since. He got to Texas as soon as he could. He married Kathy Leveridge in 1989 and gained another daughter and son. He was a systems engineer and main frame programmer both in Michigan and Texas. He loved his wife, family and friends, good food, a good prank, and having a good time. He was a member of Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington for many years where he almost mastered the art of golf. He and Kathy played Santa and Mrs. Claus for the children and families of the club. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Fred is survived by wife Kathy, daughters Kay Waldrep and partner Paul Mason, Marcie Baldwin and son-in-law Shannon Baldwin, and Monica Gardella and son-in-law Bill Gardella, and son Christopher Hoffman and partner Lisa Holland, grandchildren Peyton Butler and wife Brenda, Trevor Gardella, Conner Baldwin, Evan Gardella, Robbie Hoffman, Mikey Hoffman, and Mason Gardella, and sister Joanie Stack and brother-in-law Victor Stack and their children Jamie Stack and Eric Stack and first wife and dear friend Cheri Davis, along with childhood friends Dennis and Kathy Robinson, David and Rosemary Boyle. Fred is preceded in death by son Coby Rogers, parents, Harold and Margaret Hoffman, and beloved dog Frodo. Wade Family Funeral Home (817) 274-9233
