Frederick Earl Swink, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Arlington. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Rev. Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday, December 2, at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E. Mayfield Rd., Arlington, Texas 76014. Fred was born on October 9, 1935 in Honeygrove, Texas to Elvin Dwain Swink and Annie Missouri Graham Swink. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. An Arlington resident since 1958, he retired from General Motors in 1988. Fred was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. In 2000, he joined Mayfield Road Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Glenna Swink; sons, Steven Swink and wife, Angie and Lawrence R. Swink; brothers, Joe Swink and wife, Peggy, Richard Swink and Jerry Swink and wife, Gwen; sister, Delores Walker and husband, Bob; and grandchildren, Ricky Swink, Elliott Swink and Gretchen Swink.
