ARLINGTON -- Freddie Ray Sellers, 81, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, in Arlington.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Freddie was born July 28, 1930, in Rule to Jack and Lura Brown Sellers. He was a longtime Arlington resident and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for nine years, including during the Korean War. He was retired from American Can Company.
Freddie was a man of few words, who was a hard worker and good provider for his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Bell Sellers, in 2009.
Survivors: Sons, Glen Sellers and wife, Dena, and Ray Sellers and wife, Rhonda; brother, Jack Sellers; grandchildren, Lori Garza and husband, Ricky, and Brandon Sellers; and four great-grandchildren.
