Franklin Delano Roosevelt Pinnow, 85, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, at Grace Lutheran Church, 210 W. Park Row Drive, Arlington.
Franklin was born January 30, 1934 in Baker, Montana on FDR's birthday, and that is the reason for his namesake. He worked as a farmer for 27 years before moving to Spirit Lake, Iowa where he barbered for 8 years. They owned and operated motels in Iowa, Texas and Arkansas the next twenty years. They lived in Terrell, Texas before moving to the Greenfield Retirement Community in Arlington.
Franklin enjoyed life, people and working for the churches he attended. He was married to Barbara Rhode in 1955 and to this union was born a son, Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Magdalena Pinnow; brother, Richard; sister, Lillian Joseph; and grandson, Daniel Bunster.
Survivors: Wife, Barbara; son, Scott and wife, Joyce; two grandsons, Cody and wife, Tiffani and Christian and wife, Donna; four great-grandchildren, Shannon, Natalie, Jeremiah and Elijah; sister, Delphine Maier of Spearfish, SD; brother, Arnold of Baker, MT; and nieces and nephews.
