ARLINGTON-Frank Chase Woodman, 69, known by his friends and family as Woode, or by others as “Mr. Bill” unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Funeral: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Hawkins Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Dennis Fountain, Rodd Fountain, Rick Barney, Autumn Fountain, Amanda Fountain and Holly Fountain.

Woode had many jobs though his life, but his main passion was being a cobbler. He's best known as “Mr. Bill” from Mr. Bills Boots and Shoe Repair in Pantego, Texas. He loved football and carpentry. He was an avid motorcycle rider, owning three Harley's and an Indian motorcycle. Woode also loved helping others. He served with distinction as President of the Palmer Lions Club, and was a member of the Rotary Club, Jaycees and Merchants' Association.
Survivors: Woode is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl of 38 years; sons, Dennis and wife, Linda, and Rodd and wife, Christina of Florida; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Rachael, Autumn, Amanda, Dylan and Holly; his best friends, Rick and Madeline Barney of Texas; and his pets, Ziggy and Kelsey.
