Flora Louise “Lou” Alexander, 83, loving wife and mother, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Arlington. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Lou was born on June 9, 1935 in Seymour, Indiana to Earl Andrew Schultz and Marie Antonette Thuis Schultz. She married Glenn E. Alexander in 1956 in Lafayette, Indiana. Lou retired from All Saints Baylor-Fort Worth, Texas after 42 years as a Clinical Nurse Educator. Lou was a member of Opti Mrs. Fort Worth and served as President two times; member of Arlington Garden/Study Club; Beta Sigma Phi; Women's Guild of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church; Serendipity, Arlington; and a past board member of American Heart Association for over 17 years. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Glenn E. Alexander; four beautiful daughters, Dr. Cynthia Alexander of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sandra Durant of Naples, FL, Chris Atchley of Arlington, TX, and Kathy Alexander of Orlando, FL; nine exceptional grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, FL, Jennifer Johnson, FL, Rachel Johnson, FL, Sondra Wilson, Arlington, Jane Atchley, Arlington, Katie Atchley, Arlington, Avery Benza, FL, Alyssa Durant, FL and Maddie Durant, FL; five lovely great-grandchildren, Trenton Wilson, Arlington and Samantha Johnson, Orlando, Ben and Emma Patituce, FL and Robert Rodriguez, Arlington; two sisters, Jane Bremer and husband, Clem of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and Sue Lotts and husband of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers-in-law, Frank Alexander Jr. and wife, Bobbie and Don Alexander and wife, Vera, all of Columbus, OH.
