Eula Kay Varnadore Mooney 73, passed away in Arlington, TX. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Memorial Service: 11:00 am Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Wade Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013 Kay was Born in San Angelo, Texas on March 27, 1945 to William Jess Varnadore and Ima Belle (McCutchen) Varnadore. Kay graduated from San Angelo Central High School and attended Kilgore Junior College where she became a Rangerette. This is where she met the love of her life Richard Cyrus Mooney, Jr. (He played football for Kilgore) Kay & Richard married on January 21, 1966. They fast moved to Miami, Florida where she had her first daughter Karol-Ann on July 5, 1966. Then they moved to Wichita, Kansas where she had her second daughter Kristy Kaye on December 9, 1967, and once again they moved to Irving, Texas where she had her third daughter Michele Lea on April 26,1969. Kay and her family settled in Arlington, Tx. so she could raise her girls. Kay was a stay at home mom for many years and then became involved in the community. She was a Lancer Cheerleader Sponsor, with her best friend Linda Roberts. She opened up La Petite Rhythm Chateau (L.P.R.C) Dance Studio in 1976, where she shared her love of dance that impacted so many lives. Ms. Kay is how her students will always remember her. Kay sold her dance studio in 1986 so she could enjoy her girls who where growing up too fast. These last years she worked behind the scenes for her daughter Michele's insurance agency working cancellations and being that soft spoken courtesy caller that made a huge impact on her business. Kay's biggest title was being Ma and going to every event her grandchildren were involved in. She was a devoted wife and mother to her 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Kay was the most selfless woman you would ever have the opportunity to know. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cyrus Mooney Jr.; parents, William & Ima Varnadore; brother, Billy Mac “Bill” Varnadore and sister, Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Varnadore Trotter. Kay is survived by her daughters, Karol-Ann Mozjesik, Kristy Kundysek and husband, Mark, and Michele Radison and husband, Dan; her niece, Kim Trotter Halfmann; and grandchildren, Cole Mozjesik, Baylee Mozjesik, Dawson Kundysek, Garret Kundysek, and Ryan DeLaRosa.
