Gene was born September 3, 1930, in Wallington, NJ, to Michael & Madeline Lynch (McMahon). He passed away December 2, 2017, in Arlington, TX. Gene attended schools and very active in sports in Tullytown, PA. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his discharge, he worked for McCloskey Construction in Philadelphia, PA, as an apprentice carpenter and climbed the ladder to become Superintendent on many large projects in Philadelphia, Hartford, and Hilton Head. Gene moved to Arlington, TX, in the early 1970's and joined Thomas Byrne Construction Co. in Fort Worth, where he worked on many large projects at the DFW Airport and American Airlines headquarters. He was a huge animal lover and sports fan and really enjoyed supporting his hometown Cowboys, Rangers, and Mavericks. Gene was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his longtime partner, Claire Birk, and is survived by his twin brother, LeRoy G. Lynch of Montgomery, TX. Gene was a friend to many and was a much beloved and loving uncle to many nephews and nieces. Gene will be interred at the United States Veterans Cemetery in Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Arlington Humane Society (817-468-0444) in the name of Gene Lynch.
