Eston E. Hasty

ARLINGTON -- Eston E. Hasty passed away December 5, 2013 at home surrounded by family and friends. Funeral: Noon Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment: 2:15 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas; Lane B. Eston was born March 21, 1933 in Blair, Oklahoma. He graduated from Altus High School in 1951 where he was an outstanding baseball player in the American Legion ball club with the International Harvester team. Eston married Peggy Jo Bailey on January 31, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mattie Hasty; brothers, Perry Scott Hasty and J.E. Hasty; and sisters, Marie Hasty and Mae Powell. Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Peggy Jo Hasty; children, Gayla Foster and Rick Hasty and wife, Laurie; sister, Mattie Boyles; brother, Preston Hasty; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Andee Hasty, Blake Hasty, Brett Schritter and wife, Anna, Callie Schritter, Dillon Schritter, Cody Foster and wife, Camille, MacKenzie Foster, and Hayden Foster; He is also survived by his many friends in Altus who will mourn his passing.
