Ernestine Caruthers

Ernestine Caruthers, 91, passed away on August 7, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1930 in Bridgeport, Texas to Buford and Florence Swain.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Thomas Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas.

Ernestine was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Springtown. She loved reading and loved her family dearly. Ernestine was able to check off the last wish on her bucket list when she got a happy birthday wish from Evan Andrews on Fox 4 News on her 90th birthday. She was a joy to be around and will be missed by all that knew her.

Ernestine is survived by her sons, Brian Caruthers and wife, Carolann, Craig Caruthers and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Anna Ballew and husband, Jeremy, Spanky Caruthers, Skooter Caruthers, and Dawyne Caruthers; great grandson, Abe Ballew.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Foy Caruthers.
