ARLINGTON -- Emily LaTrell Bateman, 84, a BMA missionary to Taiwan for 38 years, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Arlington. Interment: 1 p.m. Monday in Becton Cemetery, Lubbock County. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington.
LaTrell was born December 18, 1930 in Lubbock.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mable Johnson; son, Paul Bateman; grandson, Thomas Bateman; sisters, Arlee and Naomi; and brother, Hal.
Survivors: Husband of 65 years, Jack Bateman; son, John West Bateman and wife, Kathy; daughter-in-law, Brenda Bateman; son, Mark Bateman; daughter, Ann Toepperwein and husband, Dan; son, Bruce Bateman; sister-in-laws, Sally Morgan and Mickey Shatken; grandchildren, Emily, Jill, Jeff, Shawna, Alisha and husband, Marc, Channah, Caleb, Matthew, Maxwell and Crystal; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Amanda, Sophie, Gabriel and Isabelle.
