ARLINGTON -- Elwin Maynard Johnson, 92, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015 in Montana. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Arlington First Church of the Nazarene, 1301 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. Interment: 1 p.m. Thursday in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. at the Arlington First Church of the Nazarene. He was one of eleven children. Elwin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, 871st Army Airborne Engineers. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Ruth Johnson in 2008; and seven siblings. Survivors: Son, James Johnson(Joy); daughters, Mary Loewen(Rodney) and Shawn Hanley(Ted); brother, Clifford Johnson; sisters, Maralene Kennett and Ruth Herberger(Everett); 13 grandchildren; and 43 great- grandchildren.
