Eloiza Vasquez, age 79, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in Mansfield, Texas.

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington.

Eloiza was born on August 27, 1943, in Anson, Texas to Simon Trevino and Olivia Estrada Trevino. At the tender age of 15 Eloiza took on the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings. She was their main caregiver when her mother suddenly passed. When she was 18, she married Julian Vasquez and had 3 children. Julian preceded her in death in 1990. She was blessed to find Canuto Gonzales Albear to whom she was married to for the past 30 years.
She was a wonderful homemaker and excellent seamstress. She adored crocheting and sewing, but her favorite craft was making baby blankets. Eloiza also enjoyed cooking and was well-known for her delicious beef jerky, friendship cake and banana bread. For those that knew her well, she was a fiery individual whom you should avoid calling between the hours of 7-9pm when she watched her telenovelas and when she and Canuto would pray the rosary. She cherished spending time with her family, especially doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors: Loving husband, Canuto Gonzales Albear; daughter, Olivia Puente, and husband, Joseph Lopez; son, Julian Vasquez, and wife Jill; son, Cesar Vasquez and wife Leah; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed.
