Eloise Barbara Jones-Weber

January 19, 1931 — June 4, 2022

Eloise Barbara Jones Weber was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina in a little town called Asheville. She was not your average southern belle; she was very independent, and adventurous. Nana bean, as she is known, had a gypsy soul. She loved traveling the United States with her daughter, Georgette and son, James. They settled in Texas in 1972 where she became a buyer for Safeway Corporation; and she later retired from.

She loved anything to do with being creative and especially loved gardening. The delight of her heart was Jesus and serving Him. She was a Godly example to not only her children but her grandchildren. It was not uncommon for Nana Bean to have one or two grandchildren with her on a Sunday Morning in the church pew. She loved to tell everyone about her Jesus and the special gift He gave her, of course she was talking about her salvation.

As much as she loved Texas and her family, her health required a change and she moved to Lake Havasu, Az. There she fell in love with another set of mountains and the landscape. Eloise loved her four legged friends that came to her door for treats and enjoyed sharing her bounty with them. A roadrunner and family of quail made regular visits. Eloise had a great respect and love for all of God’s creatures and the beauty of His creation.

She volunteered through her church, and the hospice center, until her health reminded her to slow down in 2017. As her health declined, she returned to Texas in January 2022 to enjoy her time remaining with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We were so blessed to have her and her stories and to be able to worship the Lord while singing Hymns with her. We know she is in the arms of the King singing with all the saints.

We love you Nana Bean and we will see you soon.

Eloise is preceded in death by her parents: Josephine and Lonnie Jones, brothers: Everett Jones and James Jones, sisters: Eula Jean Knight, Sue Nadelman, Margaret Gibson, great-grandson: Cullin Darden Limer.

She is survived by her daughter, Georgette Limer, 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, son-in-law and father of her grandchildren: Charles Kenneth Limer, son: James Weber and son Aaron Mitchell, sisters: Ann Rogers, Lois Wiles, brother Billy Jones.
