Eloisa "Chacha" E. Rodriguez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, in Arlington, Texas, just a week shy of her 86th birthday. She was born in Torreon Coahuila Mexico on October 19th 1938, although she grew up in Parras Coahuila her beloved father's hometown that his maternal ancestors founded in 1597. Chacha lived a life fill of love, joy, and cherished memories.
Chacha was known for her easy-going, laid-back nature. She possessed an incredible amount of patience and never once complained, no matter the circumstances. Family was the center of her world, and she found joy in reminiscing about her childhood days in Mexico, often sharing stories and jokes that brought a smile to everyone's face. Those stories were a precious connection to the past, keeping her family's history alive.
Chacha had a deep love for music, with Frank Sinatra, Kenny Rogers the Glenn Miller Band, Vicente Fernandez, and classical pieces by Beethoven and Chopin often filling her home; with the occasional rock that her children loved. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life drinking coffee, dancing, watching TV, and spending time with her loved ones. Her laughter and presence made her a joy to be around.
A talented cook, Chacha was especially known for her cakes and pastries, which she baked with love and shared with family and friends. She also had a passion for crocheting and found comfort in creating beautiful blankets by hand. Her love for the color blue was reflected in much of what she did.
Faith played a central role in Chacha's life. She found peace in reading the Bible and leaned on her strong spiritual foundation throughout her life. Her quiet resilience and strength were a source of inspiration to her family, who will forever remember her unwavering love, strength, and uncomplaining spirit.
Chacha's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, who will deeply miss the conversations, laughter, and joy she brought into their lives. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace, Chacha. You will be forever missed and always loved.
