Elmer Dean Willingham, age 87, passed away on December 21, 2021.
Dean was born in Devol, Oklahoma to George J. Willingham and Eula Mae Hill. Dean married Letha Mae Shelton on July 19, 1958.
Dean worked at American Can Company for 33 years. He was passionate about woodworking, and a talented woodworker. He loved his church family, California Lane Church of Christ. He loved kids, and was a great father. He never met a stranger, and would always lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eula Willingham, and his sister Helen Hardy.
He is survived by his wife, Letha Willingham; his children, Debra and husband Tim Greer, and Kenneth and wife Donna; his brothers, Don Willingham and wife Larue, and Gene Willingham and wife Edda; his sisters, Betty Gage, Nita McDaniel and husband Jerry, and Lois Mitchell and husband Larry; his grandchildren, Michelle Marin and husband Jesse, Erica Stavinoha and husband Greg, Chance Cooper and wife Madeline, and Makayla Willingham; his great grandchildren, Jack and Henry Stavinoha, Lucy and Molly Marin, and Corbin Cooper.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Dean’s favorite charity was Mission Arlington.
