Elisabeth Ann "Liz" Burrell, 96, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Service: Wednesday, November 15, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, Arlington, Tx. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or "Together We Build" at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, Arlington. Elisabeth Ann "Liz" Burrell was born in Dallas, Tx on July 2, 1921, to Clyde and Delilah Alvarez Barner. Liz graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Tx and resided in Arlington, Mansfield and Lancaster, Tx. She was a member of Mayfield Road Baptist Church in Arlington and retired from the County Clerk's office with Denton County. She was active in church activities and loved to sing and teach her Sunday School classes through the years. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Burrell, Sr., parents, Clyde and Delilah Barner, a granddaughter, Daphne Rae Hicks in 2005 and a sister, Bobbie Jo Williams. Survivors: a son, John H. Burrell, Jr. and wife Cleda; a daughter, JoAnn Prince; two brothers, Donald Barner and Ronny Barner; three grandchildren, Shanna Galvan, Courtney Burrell, and Jerrin Prince; one great-grandchild, Jordan Baylee Fowler; and one great-great-grandchild, Alec Jared Brown.
