Elias “Noel” de la Peña laid himself to rest on Friday, March 14, and woke up to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1958, in Brownsville, TX. His family later relocated to San Antonio, TX, where he would eventually meet the love of his life and build a family of which he was very proud.

Education was important to Noel. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and earned an Associate degree from Tarrant County College. He went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Noel was a dedicated family man. He worked hard to provide for and care for his loved ones. As his daughters were growing up, he demonstrated his love and commitment by coaching multiple sports and assisting with various school activities. Noel was happiest when the family was together and shined brightest when he was with his cherished granddaughter, Kyleigh. He expressed his affection for his father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law with his whole heart. He shared a special bond with his father in law and mother-in-law, and his family finds solace in knowing he is now reunited with them in heaven, embraced alongside all those he loved and who loved him.

Noel was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo (Rudy) de la Peña; his mother, Josephine Foster de la Peña; his sister, Rebecca Margaret de la Peña; his father-in-law, Roberto C. Vasquez; and his mother-in-law, Martha B. Vasquez.

He is survived by his wife, Judy de la Peña; his daughters, Marissa de la Peña and Kristina de la Peña, along with her fiancé, Nick Culliton; and his beloved granddaughter, Kyleigh Zuniga. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bobby Vasquez, and his wife, Yvonne Vasquez; his sisters-in-law, Monica Vasquez and Dora Garza; his sister, Dea Alonzo, and her husband, Albert Alonzo; his brothers, David de la Peña, Darrell de la Peña, and Ralph de la Peña; his nephews, Mike Abel, Adam Alonzo, David de la Peña, Nathan de la Peña, Michael de la Peña, and Ryan de la Peña; his nieces, Sabrina Vasquez, Crystal Emmerich, Ciara Charles, Carina Guzman, Felicia de la Peña, and Ann Marie Lolici; and his great-nieces, Emmalyn Abel, Lydia Emmerich, Daisy de la Peña, Selena Lolici, Sofia Guzman, Adalina Guzman, and Olivia Guzman. His great-nephews include Dimitri Lolici, Derrick Lolici, Ethan Charles, and Jonathan Charles.

Noel will be forever in our hearts and will be deeply missed. We love you, Papi!
