Duane (Dugan) was the son of Mattie and Iver Satre and was one of 10 children. He played High School football and played the tuba during halftime. He met the love of his life, Mary Ann (Mimi) in High School and married her soon after in 1952. They were by each other's side for 59 years until Mimi passed in 2011. Dugan and Mimi had 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren whom they adored and hosted regularly for Sunday dinners.
Dugan served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Texas where he remained for the rest of his life. A true entrepreneur, Dugan owned and operated 6 different businesses over the course of his life. Dugan was an avid gardener, a Mr. fix-it, a flea marketer and cancer survivor. He loved his country and never had a dry eye when the National anthem was played. His kind and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
Dugan is survived by his children, Dennis and Shawn, Lynn and Tony, and Mark and Patricia. His grandchildren include Brennon, Zachary, Mitchell, Jacob, Korbin, Pipper, Meredith and Nicholas. His great grandchildren are Kimberly, Posie, Trinity and Calvin. He is also survived by his youngest brother, Gene.
