ARLINGTON -- Douglas Wayne Weddle, Sr., 66, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home in Arlington.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
Douglas was born October 1, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to Claude Ernest and Tilda Ray Bowman Weddle. He was a longtime Fort Worth and Arlington resident. Douglas worked for Lone Star Park until his retirement Douglas volunteered his time with church activities and Boy Scouts of America in his early adult years. He was avid sports fan, especially The Texas Rangers. Douglas enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kari Beth Jackson in 2012; and brother, Steven Weddle
Survivors: Wife, Debra Weddle; son, Douglas Wayne Weddle Jr., and wife, Crissy; daughter, Michelle McCullough-Smith and husband, Anthony; sister, Chris Weddle and partner, Cindy Richardson; grandchildren, Chase Weddle, Katy Weddle, Marisa Jackson, Brendan Jackson; and a host of family and friends.
