Dorothy Nell “Dot” Tozier, 99, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 in Mansfield, Texas.
There will be a private family service on Thursday, June 3rd.
Dorothy was born on February 15, 1922 in Powderly, Kentucky to Walter Lawrence and Minnie Lee (Mooringham) Day.
Dorothy worked for Citizens Security in Owensboro, Kentucky and later moved to the metroplex area and worked as an insurance adjuster for Trader's General Insurance Company in Dallas, as well as Reserve Life Insurance. She enjoyed making a career in the insurance business and took great pride in the job that she did. She also enjoyed fashion and was an excellent salesperson of women's clothes. Dorothy had a great personality and was liked by everyone she knew. She was a beautiful lady in your youth, just as her sister, Anna, was. She was a wonderful, caring mother to her son, Doug, who was her pride and joy. Everyone knew Dorothy as a good Christian woman and was a great example to everyone that her life touched.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Minnie Day, her sister, Anna Louise, and two brothers, John Albert Day and John Robert Day.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Tozier, Arlington, Tx; one niece, Carolyn Day and three nephews, Johnny Day, Joey Day and Matthew Day.
