Dorothy was born in Lubbock, on July 10, 1931, to James W. Hodges and Sarah Marie Hudson. In 1950, she met the love of her life, Grady Aaron Hartman. They married Sept. 23, 1950, and raised four children, Cynthia Gayle, Ann Marye, Cheryl Denise and Wesley Aaron. To most she was known as Mimi. She was a housewife most of her life, and was known for her luscious chocolate groom's cake. She loved giving and receiving hospitality and enjoyed fellowship with all the Christians she came to know and shepherd. She loved her family & friends, but most of all The Lord Jesus. She taught us to love and care for people through her example of hospitality. Some of our fondest memories are singing hymns with her, cooking, baking biscuits, cakes, praying with us and reading the Bible together.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Grady Hartman, her daughters Ann White & Cheryl Murillo; and her great grandchildren Andrew & Rebecca Limer.
Survivors: Cindy & Wayne Moore, Daniel Murillo, Charles Hodges, Elizabeth Hodges, Abigail & Marcos Salas, Anne Moore, Leah, Thad, Megan & Katie Limer, Jason, Kelli, Kiley, & Daniel White, Sarah & Caesar Cantu, Jessi Moore, Wesley & Michelle Hartman, and many more family, friends, & adopted members.
