In Loving Memory of Dorothy Mae Krug
Dorothy Mae Krug, a remarkable woman of joy and warmth, passed away on December 11, 2023 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 98. Born on October 30, 1925, in Tenaha, Texas, she touched the lives of all who knew her and left an indelible mark on their hearts.
Dorothy was a woman who effortlessly exuded elegance and style.
She had an infectious laugh that could fill a room with joy, and her love for life was contagious.
As a mother, grandmother, and friend, Dorothy brought love and light into the lives of those around her. She was accepting and understanding, making everyone feel valued and cherished. Her dedication to her family was unmatched, and she poured her heart into everything she did for them.
One of Dorothy’s favorite pastimes was venturing to the casino with her boyfriend, George, sharing exciting moments and creating treasured memories with lots of laughter. She was always up for the thrill of a game and relished the anticipation that came with each visit.
Outside of her hobbies, Dorothy found solace and fulfillment in her profession as a seamstress. Her talent and skill were evident in everything she created, gifting her loved ones with beautiful, handmade garments and treasures that would be cherished for years to come.
Dorothy is preceded in death by Hubbard Watson – Father, Oma Spurlock – Mother, Four brothers, and Paul Krug – Husband.
Dorothy Mae Krug is survived by her boyfriend, George Weishner, her sons, David Krug and wife Denise, Mark Krug and wife Candiss, as well as 5 grandchildren: Zackery Krug (Laura), Karen Montgomery (Martin), Emily Cooley (Zach), Matt Krug (Chrissy), and Jessica Dougherty (Joe).
Also survived by seven great grandchildren: Shealyn Krug, Kalie Krug, Evan Krug (Maggie), LCpl Gabriel Krug, Isabella Cooley, Connor Dougherty, and Maxel Krug. They will forever hold her in their hearts. Her presence in life was a guiding light, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort everyone.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate the incredible life of Dorothy Mae Krug will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join in commemorating the life of this extraordinary woman and sharing their memories and support.
Dorothy Mae Krug will be forever missed and eternally remembered. May her laughter, love, and zest for life live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we say our final goodbyes, we take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, forever guiding us with her gentle spirit.
