ARLINGTON -- Doris Jean Fields of Arlington passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013.
Memorial service: 4 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Boyle, Miss. She later moved with her family to Memphis, Tenn., and Jonesboro, settling in Irving. She began her career working in the banking industry in Dallas.
After several family moves to El Paso and Albuquerque, N.M., she settled in Arlington, where she lived for 38 years. She was co-owner of a successful jewelry company in Arlington until retirement.
Survivors: She leaves behind her daughter, Vicki and her husband, Greg Barbosa, of Georgetown; son, Greg Fields and his wife, Julie, of Arlington; and her grandchildren, Nicole, Gregory and Mallory Barbosa, and Keith and Kyle Fields; and her brothers Charles and Tommy Dunn, sisters Betty Fly and Margaret Daniel, numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.
