Doris Davis Miller of Arlington, Texas passed away at her home Saturday, June 22 at the age of 91.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri in November of 1932 to Harry B. and Eva M. Davis. Doris was a retired registered nurse at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a Girl Scout leader in Baldwin, Missouri and a past President of the Lakewood Garden Club in Arlington, Texas. She loved her family, nursing, retirement and traveling with her husband Jerry, who was Santa Claus for “a Wish for Wings”.
Doris married Gerald (Jerry) Miller on October 23, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri. Over their 70 years of marriage Doris and Jerry lived in Kansas City, Missouri, Baldwin, Missouri and Arlington, Texas. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her son Jeffrey Richard and wife Ruth Miller of Waco, Texas, daughter Pamela Ann Vick and husband Gary Vick of Arlington, Texas, grandson Reese Miller and wife Amy Miller of Pflugerville, Texas, granddaughter Christy Beth Perkins and husband Steven Perkins of Midlothian, Texas and grandson Tyler Miller and wife Jennifer Miller of Lorena, Texas and 7 great-grandchildren.
