ARLINGTON -- Doris Alma "Mayme" Poss, 88, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Robin Lyle officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home. Doris was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Coryell County to William Edmond Perkins and Bessie Seay Perkins. She was raised in Central Texas in the Gatesville area. A longtime Arlington resident, she was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. Doris was a registered nurse and office manager for Dr. Truett C. Boles, a longtime Arlington pediatrician. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Doris was preceded in death by her son, Marc Poss. Survivors: Daughters, Lisa Stewart and Jill Lyle of Arlington; brothers, John Perkins and Jerry Perkins; sisters, Maybelle McCoy, Kyleen Madison, Artis Lynn Myer; eight grandchildren, Amy, Micah, Leslie, Randy, Jaron, Josiah, Reese and Jase; and great-grandchildren, Astin and John.
